The Memory Lane!

Moonlight lights the street,
I go wandering in the memory lane,

You and I were together,
In the crowded city lanes, walking
Hand in hand.

People walking by our side,
Lost in that moment,
I couldn’t see anyone.

You believed in my crazy dreams,
Looking into your eyes,
I got the courage to follow my dreams.

I looked at the moon and smiled,
You looked at me and smiled,
Like others, you didn’t call me insane.

You turned me towards you,
Caressing me, you came closer, and
Whispered “Let’s travel together” in my ear.

I was frozen, time stopped,
There were many things to say,
But I only hugged you,
Letting the silence of that night, dissolve in the moonlight.

Soul of a Wanderer!

She received a book from her friend, classic this time.Though Zafirah loves traveling but this is her first book on traveling.

As she dipped into the few initial chapters of the book, she wished her life to be different. With every page of the book, her desire to explore the world grew stronger. She dreamed of entwining the untraveled roads, brilliance of the moon, blaze of the sun, cloud – capped mountains, the turbulent river, the mystic sunset, the luminance of stars into a poem.

Breaking all the barriers around her, she wanted to get lost into the vast galactic sky.

P.S. – A maiden attempt in writing a drabble.

Note – *A drabble is a short work of fiction of exactly one hundred words in length.

**Zafirah is an Arabic name meaning Victory.
